Asheville elopements

Does a large wedding not sound like your cup of tea? We understand!

In fact, Alistair and I eloped to Australia (in 2005), just the two of us and it was hands-down the best choice for our wedding. We splurged on a beautiful trip, hired a catamaran, a photographer and a wedding officiant. We had 8 wonderful hours sailing, a picnic, snorkelling and finally a teeny tiny party on the sail home. Our song was “Now that we found love” by Heavy D and the Boyz.

We’re not traditional.

Maybe you’re not.

The thought of an elopement might not be for everyone. Let’s see if an elopement might be a great fit for you.

Elopements

An Elopement might be for you if…….

You don’t want to spend your budget on dinner for Uncle Frank whom you’ve not seen in years.

You’re a private couple and/or only want to spend the day with your dog and maybe just a few of your ride or dies.

You want a wedding day that is totally UNIQUE to you.

You don’t want a strict timeline, just a relaxed, informal day of celebration.

You have tricky family members who want your day THEIR way.

You want to be present on your day and revel in EVERY moment, not worrying over small stuff.

You love the dog more than you do most of your family and that’s OK to feel that way!

You would rather:

Head to the mountains and/or a waterfall, have a fabulous picnic, take a hot air balloon ride, cycle around the Biltmore Estate, take a boat ride or just chill?

Not want to wear traditional wedding attire, cos you’re not “traditional” people.

Want to laugh, be goofy and be your authentic selves.

Have enough money left after your elopement to do fun things than paying off your wedding.

Spend time with only the people (or four legged friends) who truly matter to you.

Know that life is too short to spend it with cousins twice-removed on your wedding day.

Now to the part of whether we’re a good fit for your elopement.

We keep it light-hearted, we laugh, A LOT! Emotion is key to every shot that we intentionally take on a elopement.

We freaking LOVE people in love and who can laugh at themselves.

We perform our best work when we’re with couples who are fun and in love.

If you’re willing to get your dress dirty and shout how much you bloody love each other from the rooftop’s then we’re your people.

In addition to Asheville, we travel the globe. Throughout the year, we frequently travel, inquire to see if our dates might match up!
